Abstract This study presents results from the numerical analysis of performance Horizontal Axis Tidal Turbine under influence current various directions. The sliding mesh in ANSYS Fluent is used to simulate rotating turbine. realizable K-ε model turbulence. verified against experimental data by comparing power coefficient for velocities tidal coming zero-degree direction. After that, effects directions are investigated considering nine approaching angles. It found that maximum Power Coefficient occurs when direction incoming flow parallel rotational axis turbine, regardless velocity. Thrust coefficient, on other hand, reach deflection 15°. In an actual marine environment, it difficult ensure water will always be Therefore, efficient energy capturing, suggested should kept within 15° especially low
